Body building, fitness, endurance and dietary supplements are all medical products, and as such you should thoroughly check out each supplement before adding it to your training program. There is an extensive range of discount supplements available, but before taking them, make sure that there is extensive research backing up their validity and effectiveness.
The dangers of discount supplements
Some discount supplements contain all of the right ingredients, but have not undergone extensive testing and research to see whether they work or not. Look out for these supplements and avoid them: you only want what is best for your body, and what has already been tried and tested.
Getting the good stuff at discount prices
On the other hand, if there is a reliable name that is priced cheaply, be sure to check the expiry date of the supplements in question, or just ask a staff member about the discrepancy. Chances are, the supplement shop might just be trying to get rid of old stock and you could be getting a great deal!
